Students are being ‘ripped off’ by the lowest bursary rates anywhere in the U.K. UCA students receive a £310 bursary compared to the national average of £1,104.

Surrey Education and welfare officer Maria Pryor, 23 is angered by the news of students being ‘ripped off’ and has decided to champion the cause of poor students by launching an awareness campaign and raising the issue with Kent Dean, Diane Taylor who is in charge of bursary payments across all UCA campuses.

Students of similar sized university’s are receiving up to three times the amount of UCA students while the University of Canfield’s students getting as much as £4,000.

UCA graduate Maria who resides in Farnham took to the cause immediately, after hearing of the dismal bursary paid to students. As an ex student she can relate to the plight that Farnham Student’s face when confronted by the towns astronomical costs.
