Students at UCA Farnham have faced a 40 per cent price increase in canteen food at the campus.
The canteen has also been heavily criticised for its short hours of service, forcing students off campus in search of food.
Bad Quality
Prices increases include the 99p sub deal, being re-priced at £1.40.
“Bad quality forces us to more expensive places” says Julia Hart, a student at the University, explaining the recent migration of students to the local Waitrose. Maria Pryor, the Student Union representative from the campus said: “Lots of students are pissed off with the canteen.”
Staff members were also hostile. “It would be nice to have the staff canteen back” said Gary Burns, a Ceramics lecturer.
