Back in 1940, people would stop outside the local newspaper office to read the headlines posted in the window. Well, there was no rolling TV news or internet…

    Incidentally, it would suit me down to the ground to have a wall of news headlines in Market Harborough, that I could look at and then choose whether to buy a paper or look something up online. I bet they’d always be people standing around chatting and discussing the various items. You never know, people might even start to rabble rouse or to care about politics… Sorry, drifted off there for a moment
